• Structural design

• Material selection
o Steel: such as Cr12MoV, H13, etc., with high strength, high hardness, good wear resistance and corrosion resistance, can withstand high pressure and high temperature in the molding process of SMC material, to ensure the accuracy and service life of the mold, is the common material for manufacturing SMC bathroom chassis mold
o Aluminum alloy: the advantages are light weight, good thermal conductivity, can shorten the molding cycle, and good processing performance, easy to manufacture complex shapes of the mold. However, its hardness and strength are relatively low, and it is suitable for occasions where the production batch is small or the weight of the mold is required.
Processing technology
o Machining: Through lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, drilling machines and other equipment to cut mold materials, grinding, drilling and other processing, in order to achieve the size and accuracy of the design requirements. o Edm: For parts with complex shapes and difficult to be completed by mechanical machining, such as structures with deep slots, narrow cracks or complex surfaces, EDM can be used, and the high-temperature corrosion of metal materials generated by EDM discharge can be used to achieve the processing of molds.
o Surface treatment: In order to improve the hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and demoulding performance of the mold surface, it is necessary to carry out surface treatment of the mold, such as chrome plating, nickel plating, nitriding, etc., which can form a hard and smooth protective film on the mold surface, extend the service life of the mold, which is conducive to the demoulding of the SMC bathroom chassis and improve the surface quality of the product.
