The SMC balcony laundry basin mold is a specialized mold for the hot-pressing and curing of SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) composite materials to form balcony laundry basins. It enables precise one-piece molding of the laundry basin and meets the requirements of large-scale mass production.
I. Core Characteristics of the Mold
High strength and high temperature resistance: Made of high-quality mold steels such as NAK80 and P20, it can withstand temperatures of 140-160°C and pressures of 30-100MPa. It has high rigidity, fatigue resistance, and a long service life.
Highprecision and easy demolding: With high polishing or electroplating treatment, the surface has a high degree of smoothness, meeting the A-level surface requirements of the laundry basin. It is equipped with an optimized demolding mechanism to prevent product sticking to the mold and ensure a complete appearance.
Flexible structure customization: Supports customization of various structures such as single basin, double basin, and with a washboard. It can integrally form details such as drainage holes and overflow ports, adapting to different balcony space dimensions.
Strong corrosion resistance and adaptability: The SMC material used with the mold is inherently waterproof and resistant to chemical corrosion, suitable for the high humidity and frequent contact with cleaning agents in the balcony environment.

II. Standard Molding Process
Mold preheating: Heat the mold to 145±5°C, while cutting and preheating the SMC sheet to soften it.
Material loading and mold closing: Place the preheated SMC sheet into the cavity, close the mold, and apply 15-30MPa pressure to ensure the material adheres to the cavity.
Temperature and pressure maintenance: Maintain the temperature and pressure for 3-8 minutes to allow the SMC material to fully crosslink and cure (the duration can be adjusted according to the wall thickness of the basin).
Demolding and finishing: After curing, open the mold, remove the product, and perform edge trimming and cleaning. It can then be directly installed and used.

III. Core Structural Components
Cavity and core: Directly determine the shape and size of the laundry basin, made of high-wear-resistant mirror-finish steel to ensure product surface quality.
Heating system: Equipped with oil heating or electric heating channels to precisely control the mold temperature and ensure uniform curing of the material.
Exhaust system: Equipped with micro-exhaust channels and vacuum channels to remove gases and volatiles, reducing porosity defects.
Mold frame and guide components: Made of high-strength mold steel to ensure mold closing accuracy and long-term production stability.

IV. Application Advantages
Compared to traditional ceramic laundry basins, SMC material products are lighter, more impact-resistant, and easier to transport and install.
Shorter molding cycle, the mold can be reused tens of thousands of times, with low unit production cost, suitable for mass production.
The product surface is dense and easy to clean, resistant to ultraviolet rays and not prone to fading, maintaining a new appearance over long-term use.
