Insights On Discoloration Issues

We often find that the mold is not the ideal silver color, what is the reason?
Generally speaking, there are three situations:
1 Mold processing
When the mold steel is nitriding, it is easy to cause the surface of the mold to turn black and blue, which is a phenomenon that is easy to occur during high-temperature nitriding.
2 Mold injection process
In the production process of the product, the temperature of the barrel is too high, which will cause the decomposition of the plastic, and the particles from the surface will coking and stick to the mold and become black. Some plastic additives will also decompose and coking under overheating. Molding agent, etc.
3 Mold Design
The unreasonable design of some molds will cause the gate pressure and flow rate of the mold to be too high, friction and overheating, and the exhaust of the mold is also very important.
Therefore, in order to make the mold more "beautiful", we should consider various parameters such as the number of mold cavities, weight, and shadow area of the product in the design, and strive to make the gate and exhaust design reasonable. The injection molding machine is inspected and cleaned every time the product is produced.
